Bulk Bag Hoppers

Lowe bulk bag hoppers are built to get material back out of a bulk bag under control. Where a bag holder presents and transports a filled FIBC, a hopper channels the discharge — funnelling product from the open bag through a controlled outlet so operators can decant into smaller sacks, drums or containers at a measured rate.

Questions

Bulk Bag Hoppers — common questions

What's the difference between a bulk bag hopper and a bulk bag holder?

A holder presents, stores and transports a filled bulk bag; a hopper is built to control what comes out of it. Our hoppers channel material from the open bag through a controlled outlet so you can decant into smaller sacks, drums or containers at a measured rate, rather than emptying the whole bag at once. For frames focused on holding and moving bags, see our Bulk Bag Holders range.

How does the Controlled Flow Bagging Hopper meter the discharge?

The bulk bag is suspended above a tapered hopper section on the 2400 x 1350 x 2400mm frame. Material feeds down into the hopper and out through the outlet, letting an operator fill smaller bags or containers steadily from one position while keeping spillage and airborne dust down.

Can one frame both hold and discharge a bulk bag?

Yes. The Bulk Bag Holder With Removable Hopper suspends the FIBC like a standard holder and adds a lift-out hopper for directed emptying, so the same frame covers presentation and controlled discharge. It comes in 1100 x 1100 x 1500mm and 1300 x 1300 x 2800mm footprints.

What materials suit a bulk bag hopper?

Controlled-flow hoppers suit free-flowing bulk materials — aggregates, sand, powders, grain and granules — anywhere you need to move product out of an FIBC into smaller quantities without a sudden rush. Fabricated in heavy box-section steel, they handle by forklift and suit construction, agriculture, waste and food-grade operations.

More about Bulk Bag Hoppers

That metered flow stops aggregate, powder or granules surging out in one rush, cutting spillage and airborne dust across construction, agriculture and waste handling. The Controlled Flow Bagging Hopper is the dedicated metering station: a 2400 x 1350 x 2400mm floor-standing unit that suspends a bulk bag above a tapered hopper for controlled filling of smaller bags. The Bulk Bag Holder With Removable Hopper pairs a bag holder with a lift-out hopper for directed emptying, in 1100 x 1100 x 1500mm and 1300 x 1300 x 2800mm footprints. Both are fabricated in heavy box-section steel and handle by forklift. For frames focused on presenting and moving filled bags rather than metering discharge, see our Bulk Bag Holders range.
