IBC Stillages

IBC stillages turn loose 1000-litre intermediate bulk containers into caged, handleable units. Where an open IBC frame merely supports a tank, a stillage encloses and secures it — steel uprights and levelled shelves that contain the IBC for stacking, storage and transport.

Questions

IBC Stillages — common questions

What is an IBC stillage?

An IBC stillage is a caged steel unit that contains and supports an intermediate bulk container, turning a loose 1000-litre tank into a stackable, handleable unit for storage and transport. Unlike an open IBC frame, which simply underpins a single tank, a stillage encloses the IBC so it can be moved and stored safely.

How many IBC tanks does the Twin IBC Rack hold?

The Twin IBC Rack stores two 1000ltr IBC tanks on levelled shelves within a single 1600 x 1400 footprint, keeping both containers stable, off the floor and ready to move.

Can IBC stillages be moved by forklift or crane?

Yes. Each rack is compatible with forklifts, cranes and automated material-handling systems, so filled IBCs can be positioned and dispatched without manual double-handling. For crane-lifting that requires certified, LOLER-rated lifting points, see our Certified Lifting Stillages range.

What is the difference between an IBC stillage and an IBC frame?

An IBC frame is the surrounding support structure that underpins a tank, while an IBC stillage is a caged unit that contains the IBC for stacking, storage and transport. If you need open support rather than an enclosed rack, see our IBC Frames range.

More about IBC Stillages

Our Twin IBC Rack holds two 1000ltr IBC tanks in a single 1600 x 1400 footprint, keeping filled containers levelled, protected and ready to move. Built from heavy box-section steel with a smooth, non-corrosive finish, each unit is made for the repeated loading, transit and unloading that bulk-liquid handling demands. The range suits sites handling bulk liquids and powders — chemical and petrochemical processing, food and dairy, fertiliser, defence and nuclear — keeping IBCs organised and off the floor while reducing reliance on disposable packaging. Each rack is compatible with forklifts, cranes and automated material-handling systems, so filled tanks are positioned and dispatched without manual double-handling. For crane-lifting with certified, LOLER-rated lifting points, see our Certified Lifting Stillages range. The Twin IBC Rack is stocked and ready to organise your IBC storage.
