Stillages

UK-made steel stillages with serials, load plates and predictable lead times.

Mixed fleets slow teams down and increase damage risk. We build stillages that stack, scan and handle the same way across every site — engineered, load-tested and documented.

Our capability

Built to your drawing, not a catalogue

Send a drawing, a sample or a photograph of the part. Our engineers size the unit around what it carries and how it is handled, then build it in Staffordshire to a specification you sign off before a single length of steel is cut.

Load-tested · UK-manufactured · certified where required

One standard, every site

Built to work the same everywhere.

Repeatable geometry and labelled pockets mean fewer surprises between sites. The result is smoother put-away, safer lifts and faster turns, day after day.

Whether it’s line-side kitting in automotive or secure fleets for parcel hubs, we tailor footprints, access and protection to your flow.

Compliance, documented

How we build for compliance — and what your team must document.

Where compliance applies we supply UKCA marking, Safe Working Load plates and serial numbers, with documentation packs for your QHSE or technical file.

SWL is defined during design and verification — engineering calculations, jig-built consistency and, where relevant, physical testing. Lifting designs with crane eyes or lugs are individually identified and supplied with examination and testing records, so a competent person can plan inspections.

The business case

Safer, standardised handling — and audits that stay calm.

Standardised, well-documented equipment reduces damage, mis-picks and double-handling, and takes the guesswork out of inspections. Fewer touches per move, fewer surprises between sites.

Everything is UK-manufactured in Uttoxeter, engineered and load-tested to your specification, with fast lead times and a direct line to the people building it.

Questions

Stillages — frequently asked

What types of stillage do you manufacture?

Post-pallet stillages, mesh and sheeted stillages, A-frame and profile racks for glass and extrusions, kitting/WIP stillages with dunnage, certified lifting stillages, gas-bottle stillages and bespoke designs built to your drawing.

Are your stillages UKCA-marked?

Where applicable, yes. We supply UKCA marking, SWL plates and serial numbers, with documentation packs available for your QHSE or technical file.

Do you provide LOLER documentation for lifting stillages?

Yes. Lifting designs with crane eyes or lugs are individually identified and supplied with examination and testing records appropriate to the product, so a competent person can plan the inspection regime.

How is the Safe Working Load (SWL) set?

SWL is defined during design and verification — engineering calculations, jig-built consistency and, where relevant, physical tests. It appears on a durable plate on the unit and in the documentation pack.

Can you build to a bespoke size or specification?

Yes — most of our work is bespoke. Send us your dimensions or a drawing and we’ll engineer and quote it — usually the same working day.

What are your lead times?

Standard builds typically ship in 3–4 weeks; bespoke units are confirmed on your quote. Ask us about priority production if you need it sooner.
